Welcome to Evntful. By accessing or using our application (the "App") and services (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Code of Conduct. Please read them carefully before creating an account. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using the App and Services immediately.

1. Eligibility and Verification

1.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use Evntful. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

1.2 Verification:  Evntful reserves the right to request identity verification to enhance safety and trust, particularly in cases of reported abuse or safety concerns. Verification may include validating government-issued IDs and profile photos. Users who fail verification will be unable to register or continue using the App.

1.3 Truthful Information:  All information provided during account creation and verification must be truthful and accurate. Impersonation, fake profiles, or providing false information is strictly prohibited and could also be reported to law enforcement if deemed necessary.

1.4 Data Retention & Deletion: Identity verification data is reviewed and deleted immediately after verification. Evntful does not store or retain copies of ID documents beyond the verification process. For details, refer to our Privacy Policy.

2. Location Sharing and Safety Features

2.1 Location Data Consent:  By signing up, you acknowledge that Evntful requires location data for core functionality, including booking dates and ensuring user safety. When you book a date, your date details (your name, time, venue, and real-time location) may be shared with your match’s emergency contacts if they have enabled safety settings and shared with their emergency contacts.

2.2 Emergency Contact Sharing:  Even if you do not provide emergency contacts, you acknowledge that your date details may be shared with your match’s emergency contacts when booking a date. This feature is designed for safety and transparency.

3. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

3.1 Prohibited Behavior:

1. Hate speech or discriminatory language based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
2. Harassment, threats, or any form of abuse towards other users.
3. Fraudulent behaviour, catfishing, or impersonation.
   

4. Data Security and Retention

4.1 Data Retention: User data is retained only as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

4.2  Security Measures:  Evntful employs industry-standard encryption and organisational safeguards to protect user data. However, users should exercise caution when sharing sensitive information.

5. Privacy

5.1 User Responsibility:  Users are solely responsible for assessing compatibility and safety during interactions.

5.2 No Warranties: Evntful does not guarantee the accuracy or success of matches or interactions.

5.3 Dispute Resolution:  Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with UK law.

5.4 No Background Checks:  Evntful does not perform background checks or criminal history screenings. Users are responsible for their interactions, both online and offline.

6. Monetisation and Subscription Models

6.1 No In-App Purchases:  Evntful does not currently offer in-app purchases or monetisation features. All services are free in this version.

6.2 Future Features:  Premium features or subscriptions may be introduced in the future. Users will be notified of changes, and updated Terms will apply.

7. Updates and Revisions

7.1 Changes to Terms:   Evntful reserves the right to update these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated, and continued use of the App signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. GDPR Compliance and User Rights

Evntful processes personal data in compliance with UK GDPR. Users have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete their personal data.
• Object to processing of their data.
• Request data portability where applicable.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
• Request full account deletion, including associated data, in line with our retention policies.
